Mentors can choose the location for mentoring closest to where they live, work, or go to school.

Q. Can you choose the age of the student?
A. Yes, you can choose younger elementary, older elementary, middle or high school aged students.
Q.What about the required new mentor training?
A. We host 2 to 3 training sessions every month starting in August and ending in April. Locations and dates of training sessions will be on the website. You only need to attend ONE training session which will last one hour 15 minutes.

Lisa Stephens joined our organization in 2005 as LYM was just being formed through Jackson County Family Connection. She volunteered as the Program Director for 2 years while building the core mentor group. Soon after, she was hired by Family Connection as a part time director. In 2012, Lisa led a strategic planning committee and formed the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Lindsay's Legacy Mentoring, Inc. currently known as Legacy Youth Mentoring.
