Mentor Coordinator

As the Founding Director of Lindsay’s Legacy Mentoring, Inc. and the Mentor Coordinator for Legacy Youth Mentoring, Lisa Stephens has spent over two decades championing the youth of Jackson County, Jefferson City, and Commerce City Schools. What began as a personal volunteer commitment in 2005 has grown into a sustainable mentoring model for the community; under her leadership, the program will celebrate its 22nd year in August 2026.

Lisa’s vision has been instrumental in growing the organization to a historic 350 mentors serving over 370 students this past year. Her dedication was recognized by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, which named her the 2025 Woman of the Year.

For Lisa, the motivation is simple: “I love the mission. I love the impact mentoring had on my life as a young person—and now on the lives of countless others.”
