Volunteer Opportunity for Youth Mentoring at Local Schools in Jackson County, Georgia

Requirements for potential mentors:

• Attend a 1-hour new mentor training session: We will equip you with resources for building an impactful mentoring relationship.

  New Mentor Training Sessions are listed below and on the events tab.

• Undergo the screening process: National Criminal Background Check with Sex Offender Registry + School Screening Process

• Mentors meet with their students in the school of their choice for 30 minutes weekly. As a best practice, the requirement is two to four meetings a month in the school.

• Mentors will also agree to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the schools and mentoring program.

Upcoming New Mentor Training Sessions:

There will be a few weeks before the next training opportunities occur due to Spring Break, our Gala on April 15th, and testing in the schools.
