Volunteer Opportunity for Youth Mentoring at Local Schools in Jackson County, Georgia
Requirements for potential mentors:
Attend a 1-hour new mentor training session: We will equip you with resources for building an impactful mentoring relationship.
New Mentor Training Sessions are listed below and on the events tab.
Undergo the screening process: National Criminal Background Check with Sex Offender Registry + School Screening Process
Mentors meet with their students in the school of their choice for 30 minutes weekly. As a best practice, the requirement is two to four meetings a month in the school.
Mentors will also agree to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the schools and mentoring program.
Upcoming New Mentor Training Sessions:
(Potential mentors only need to attend one new mentor training class.)
Due to Fall Break schedules and other limitations, we will take a short break from new mentor training in early to mid-October.
