Lisa Stephens

Mentoring Coordinator

Lisa Stephens joined our organization in 2005 as LYM was just being formed through Jackson County Family Connection.  She volunteered as the Program Director for 2 years while building the core mentor group. Soon after, she was hired by Family Connection as a part time director.  In 2012, Lisa led a strategic planning committee and formed the 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Lindsay's Legacy Mentoring, Inc. currently known as Legacy Youth Mentoring and worked as the Executive Director of the non-profit organization until July 2019. She joined the Jackson County School System as Mentor Coordinator in July 2019 with a shared services employment with Jefferson City Schools and Commerce City Schools. People ask her about the longevity she has enjoyed with LYM and the answer is: " I love the mission. I love the impact mentoring had on my life as a young person and now on the lives of countless others!"
